Paijee and Boudeeka (co-founders) were hanging out at the IIRECORDS pad in Sausalito on a beautiful Sunday talking music, laughing,...and making fun of how women are so competive with each other... While watching sailboats gliding across THE BAY and realizing that they had this magical synergy and that possibly women could be friends in this industry and help each other out....They had a vision!!! A powerful vision of connecting women in music and creating a strong force of woman musicians that will tear into the industry. A week later, they had a party and 40 people attended. This party was catered by The Water Street Grille and they even had menus with GirlzzRock printed at the top. Guest speaker, David Givens, (entertainment attorney 4 Non Blondes, Sex Pistols, and the list goes on) gave a marvelous speech and some great insight on the industry. After the open forum which ended up being a discussion on what to and what TO NOT put on your website.....we all jammed. We had Jolie, Krickie, Boudeeka, Paijee, jam. We allowed a few guys in. We had the Bass player for G-love and Special Sauce accompany Shanta with some spoken word. Former Jefferson Starship keyboardist, Kincaid accompanied Boudeeka. The VIBE was on!!!

Next party was an ELEKTRA RECORDS SHOWCASE with Peter Torres checking GirlzzRock bands out. 5 of our GirlzzRock bands showcased and we had 3-400 people attend. YES! Cops came out twice but Paijee batted her eyes and SOLD them on GirlzzRock. They are probably reading this now.

We are only accepting women that front a band with all original music. We are looking for women who are dynamic, eager, hard workers, and that have a positive vibe!!!
